Ever been to an event where the DJ, band or other performer kinda got stuck in one or two dance styles? Here’s Grant’s story:
I’ve done this era (lite jazz, Sinatra style, etc) for years. I’ve had a LOT of great comments and repeat customers. It was several years ago that I was invited to sing for a holiday celebration where the group wanted to dance. I LOVE to dance, but at the time was very new to dance. So I did the music I love and they had asked for. But they came up to me around half-way and asked, “Do you have anything besides Fox-trot?” Needless to say, I was a bit embarrassed that I didn’t have more prepared. Not having danced a lot at that point, I hadn’t thought about having a mix of styles. Needless to say, I fixed that!

Here’s an example of a one hour play list. Where “Grant” is named, he’ll sing the song. Where the artist is named, he’ll play a track just like a DJ and maybe even join you on the dance floor! Where (CD) is mentioned, these are tracks off Grant’s CD.
